What are nic salts?

Nic salts, short for nicotine salts, are e-liquids made with a form of nicotine that is absorbed more like the nicotine in a cigarette. They feel smoother on the throat than freebase nicotine at the same strength, which is why nicotine salt e-liquid is the go-to choice for pod kits, prefilled pod refills and other low-power vapes.

Nic salt strengths

Every nic salt we sell comes in a 10ml bottle, the legal maximum for nicotine e-liquid in the UK. Most flavours are available in 10mg and 20mg, with some ranges also offering 5mg.

  • 20mg – the strongest legal strength, usually chosen by heavier smokers or people switching from bar-style vapes.
  • 10mg – a middle ground for regular vapers who want a noticeable hit with less intensity.

Which devices use nic salts?

Nic salts are designed for low-wattage pod kits and MTL devices with coils of 0.8 ohm and above. They are not suited to sub-ohm tanks, where the extra vapour would deliver far more nicotine than intended. Most nic salts are 50% VG, so they flow easily through pod coils without flooding.
