MTL or sub-ohm tank?
The tank you choose decides how your vape feels.
- MTL tanks give a tighter, cigarette-style draw. They use coils of 0.8 ohm and above and suit nic salts, freebase and 50/50 e-liquids.
- Sub-ohm tanks give an open, direct-to-lung draw with dense vapour. They use coils below 0.5 ohm and are made for high-VG shortfills at low nicotine strengths.
Each listing shows the tank's diameter, capacity, airflow type and the coils it takes.
Will it fit my device?
Most tanks use a standard 510 thread, so they fit most box mods and vape kits with a 510 connection. Check the tank's diameter against your device so it sits flush; a 22mm to 25mm tank suits most mods.
Capacity and UK rules
UK rules limit tanks to 2ml when sold for nicotine e-liquid. Some tanks include an optional bubble glass for larger capacity, which is intended for nicotine-free e-liquid.
Looking after your tank
- Filling – fill with the coil already installed, leave a small air gap at the top, and let a new coil soak before vaping.
- Changing flavour – empty the tank, rinse it in warm water, dry it fully and fit a new coil if the old flavour lingers.
- Leaking – usually caused by a loose or worn coil, damaged seals, or e-liquid that is too thin for the coil. Tighten the coil, check the O-rings and use the recommended VG ratio.
