Choosing the right vape juice

The right e-liquid depends on three things: the device you use, the nicotine strength you want and the flavour you enjoy. Our vape juice range is split into three types so you can narrow it down quickly.

  • Nic salts – 10ml bottles in 5mg, 10mg or 20mg, made for pod kits and low-power devices. Nicotine salt gives a smoother throat hit at higher strengths.
  • Freebase e-liquids – 10ml bottles from 0mg to 18mg, suited to starter kits and mouth-to-lung (MTL) tanks.
  • Shortfill e-liquids – nicotine-free 50ml and 100ml bottles with room to add a nicotine shot, best for sub-ohm tanks and higher-power kits.

What is e-liquid?

E-liquid, also called vape juice or vape liquid, is the liquid your device heats to create vapour. It is made from four ingredients: propylene glycol (PG), vegetable glycerine (VG), food-grade flavouring and, in most bottles, nicotine.

PG, VG and what the ratio means

PG is thinner and carries flavour and throat hit. VG is thicker and produces more vapour. Every product in this range shows its VG percentage on the listing, so you can match it to your device:

  • 50% VG or less – pod kits, starter kits and MTL tanks with coils of 0.8 ohm and above.
  • 60–70% VG and above – sub-ohm tanks and direct-to-lung (DTL) kits with coils below 0.5 ohm. Thick liquid can struggle to soak through the small coils in pod kits.

Nicotine strengths

UK law limits nicotine e-liquids to 10ml bottles at a maximum of 20mg/ml. As a rough guide, heavier smokers switching to a pod kit tend to start at 10–20mg nic salts, and lighter smokers at 3–6mg freebase. Higher-power kits produce more vapour per puff, so they are normally used at 0–6mg.

Flavours and brands

We stock fruit, menthol and ice, tobacco, dessert, sweets and drinks flavours from brands including IVG, Hangsen, Doozy, Elfliq, ELUX, Hayati, Vampire Vape, Dinner Lady, Ruthless and Kingston. Use the filters to sort by brand, nicotine strength, bottle size or VG ratio. Multi-buy offers are marked on each product.

E-Liquids & Vape Juice FAQs

What is e-liquid made of?

E-liquid contains propylene glycol (PG), vegetable glycerine (VG), food-grade flavourings and usually nicotine. Nicotine-free options are available in every range.

What is the difference between nic salts, freebase and shortfills?

Nic salts and freebase e-liquids both come in 10ml bottles with nicotine; nic salts are smoother at higher strengths and suit pod kits. Shortfills are larger 50ml or 100ml bottles without nicotine, for adding a nicotine shot and using in sub-ohm kits.

Which VG ratio should I choose?

Use 50% VG or less for pod kits, starter kits and MTL tanks. Use 60–70% VG or more for sub-ohm tanks and DTL kits.

How long does vape juice last?

Unopened e-liquid usually lasts one to two years if stored somewhere cool and dark. Check the best-before date on the bottle, and replace any liquid that has changed colour or smell.

Can I use any e-liquid in any vape?

Not always. Thick, high-VG shortfills can flood or burn the small coils in pod kits, and high-strength nic salts are too strong for sub-ohm kits. Match the e-liquid type and VG ratio to your device.
